facades
Craftsmanship
that convinces from the outside.
The facade is the face of a building. It protects, represents and gives the structure its character. We carry out facade works for new builds and existing buildings, with particular expertise in the restoration of historic fabric and work under listed building requirements.
what we do
lime facades
Lime plasters and lime paints are the traditional choice for mineral facades — breathable, weather-resistant and naturally beautiful. We apply hydraulic limes, putty limes and lime-cement plasters to DIN standard and in accordance with the requirements of heritage conservation.
silicate paints & mineral renders
Silicate paints bond chemically with the substrate and are therefore extremely durable, UV-resistant and dirt-repellent. We use them for demanding facade projects where longevity and colour fastness over decades are required.
historic preservation & restoration
Historic buildings present special demands: material authenticity, reversible techniques, coordination with the heritage authority. We bring the experience these projects require. Reference: restoration of the Zickelbau on Nymphenburger Strasse (built 1920) — lime facade, craftsman-authentic rehabilitation.
facade remediation
We assess damaged facades on site: crack diagnosis, moisture analysis, substrate inspection. On this basis we develop a remediation concept that delivers lasting results — not merely a cosmetic overcoat.

Facade Works Munich — Lime Facades, Historic Preservation, Facade Restoration
BARTEKS carries out facade works in the Munich area and beyond — from straightforward facade renewal to demanding restoration under listed building protection. Our experience with mineral systems, lime plasters and historic building materials makes us a reliable partner for projects that require craft competence.
The key to lasting facade results lies in substrate diagnosis and material selection. We rely on breathable, diffusion-open systems — lime plasters, silicate paints, mineral renders — that work with the building, not against it. Insufficient expertise in material selection leads to subsequent damage: moisture, mould, spalling. We understand these relationships and work accordingly.
For listed buildings we coordinate our approach with the relevant authorities and use material-appropriate, reversible techniques. Our references include facade restorations on early twentieth-century buildings in Munich and the surrounding area.
